The rules for using the lab
Terms of Service
Effective December 6, 2025.
Resume Lab is operated by Simon Ho in British Columbia, Canada. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Account and eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (typically 18+). You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity under it. You may delete your account at any time.
Use of the service
Resume Lab lets you store profile information, generate resumes, and manage documents. Do not misuse the service (for example, no unauthorized access attempts, automated scraping, or activity that violates laws or third-party rights). Generated content should be reviewed by you before use.
Personal information
The service is intended to collect and store personal details you provide to generate resumes (such as contact information and work history). By using the service, you allow this information to be stored in the database for your account. You control what you enter and may delete content or your account at any time if you wish to remove it.
Payments and tokens
Tokens enable generation and keep the project running. Purchases are processed by Stripe. Treat tokens as contributions to support the service. They are generally non-refundable, but I will investigate spend issues and provide refunds or credits when appropriate. Please reach out if something looks wrong. Chargebacks or abuse may lead to account suspension.
Service changes
Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued. I may suspend or terminate access if needed for security, abuse prevention, or legal reasons. Efforts will be made to give notice when practical.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you paid for tokens in the 3 months before a claim arose. Some jurisdictions may not allow certain exclusions, so they may not fully apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of British Columbia, subject to any applicable consumer protections in your jurisdiction.
